Implant Prostheses

Dental implants have revolutionized the practice of dentistry. Dental implants are titanium screws which are surgically placed in the bone for osseointegration (bonding to the bone). Implants can be used for single unit crowns, removable prosthesis such as a bar and overdenture, and for fixed (patient cannot remove prosthesis, but the dentist can). Dental implants are used extensively in the rehabilitation of craniofacial disorders such as amelogenesis imperfecta and ectodermal dysplasia.
