MUSC Medical Center employees are employed by the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA). In addition to employment by the MUHA, MUSC staff are also employed by The University and its Colleges, as well as University Medical Associates and its affiliate, Carolina Family Care.

About the Medical Center
The Medical Center is made up of five hospitals: University Hospital, MUSC Children's Hospital, Storm Eye Institute, the Institute of Psychiatry, and the Ashley River Tower. It also contains centers for specialized care: the Heart & Vascular Center, Transplant Center, Digestive Disease Center, and Hollings Cancer Center.
