CPS-3 Cancer Prevention Study
The Medical University of South Carolina is proud to be a host site for The American Cancer Society’s Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3), a national research study to better understand the lifestyle, behavioral, environmental and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer. The goal is to enroll at least 300,000 adults from various racial/ethnic backgrounds from across the U.S and to ultimately eliminate cancer as a major health problem for this and future generations.
“If you have ever had a friend or
family member diagnosed with
cancer, one of the hardest things is
feeling like we can’t do anything to
help. CPS-3 is something we can do
to help in the fight against this
– Study participant
