Brain Tumor Support Group - Meets the second Wednesday of the month from noon until 1:15 pm.  Lunch provided.  Clinical Sciences Building, Room 429. Call to confirm: Christa Lizzi, RN, 843-792-1524.

A Story of Her Own - Six-week writing program for gynecological cancer survivors led by MUSC Writing Center faculty member. FREE. Hollings Cancer Center. Lisa Kerr at kerli@musc.edu.

Other community support groups

Cancer Support Programs- Periodic programs on nutrition, pain, music therapy, relaxation and library at ACS Hope Lodge, Calhoun Street and Ashley Avenue.  Call Sundi for information: 843-958-0930.

Look Good Feel Better – American Cancer Society program to renew self-esteem and confidence for women facing cancer. Second Monday of the month, 2:00 to 4:00 pm at various locations.  Call to register at 1-800-827-9279.

Mt. Pleasant Cancer Support Group - All survivors and caretakers are welcome!
Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church "Cancer Club" "Where Hope Happens" meets every fourth Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Parlor, September - June.  This support group is for all types of cancer.  Located at 301 Hibben Street, Mt. East Cooper Breast Cancer Support Group - Meets last Monday of the month at 6:30 pm at East Cooper Hospital, 1st floor classroom, Mt. Pleasant, SC. Periodic speakers. Dinner provided. Call Penny at 843-881-9499.

Breast Cancer Survivors Group - Meets last Monday of the month, 5:30-6:30 pm. Speakers & support. Roper Hospital, conference room 1, 316 Calhoun St, Charleston. Free parking.  Elizabeth McCabe at 843-724-2794.
