Our Services

Our extensive menu of clinical trials for hematological malignancies guarantees all patients access to cutting edge therapy.  Highlights include:

  • Nationally recognized for treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in adults.
  • Research and treatment program tailored for older adults (over 60 years old) with AML.
  • Comprehensive management for lymphomas and myeloma, including stem cell transplantation where appropriate.

Experience and innovation have resulted in outcomes that are among the best in the country. Our approach to treating hematological malignancies has made Hollings Cancer Center a vital resource for our state.

Outpatient focus - For our patients' health and convenience, we limit their stay in the hospital, shifting them to an outpatient setting as soon as possible. Our state-of-the-art infusion center and home infusion services, staffed only with nurses certified by the Oncology Nursing Society, make outpatient treatment a reality for many patients.

Clinical trials - Patients have access to clinical trials for promising new therapies. The goal of these research efforts is to bring effective new treatments to patients as quickly as possible. Don't hesitate to discuss clinical trials with your medical team.

State-of-the-art facilities - In addition to innovative outpatient facilities, our inpatient unit is technologically- advanced. The rooms were specially designed for immunosuppressed patients and use the same sophisticated HEPA air filtration system found in our operating rooms.

Housing assistance - If your stay here is extended, our staff can help you find local housing in all budget ranges.
