Breast Reconstruction Coordinator

Elizabeth Welch, RN, BSN, MSN, coordinates the MUSC Advanced Breast Reconstruction Program and also helps guide patients through the reconstruction process. She received her bachelor’s and master’s of nursing degrees from MUSC. She spent four years as a full-time operating room nurse, assisting mostly with breast reconstruction surgeries, and helped MUSC plastic surgeons as they refined groundbreaking procedures such as DIEP.  She continues to assist on breast reconstruction surgeries and also guides clinical work and research.
