Our Doctors

Only a few doctors in the country perform microvascular breast reconstruction surgeries on a routine basis.  Within the MUSC Advanced Breast Reconstruction Program, we are fortunate to have four plastic surgeons who regularly take on these complicated procedures:

• Dr. Dennis K. Schimpf
• Dr. Patrick J. O’Neill
• Dr. Kevin O. Delaney
• Dr. Milton B. Armstrong

Each is accomplished in a variety of plastic surgery procedures and specializes in breast reconstruction procedures that use microsurgery to transfer natural tissue, including the increasingly preferred DIEP procedure. When performing a natural tissue reconstruction with microsurgery, they work in pairs to give each patient the highest quality care possible.
