Types of Aortic Disease

Aortic disease can affect the part of the aorta that runs through your abdomen (abdominal aorta) or through your chest (thoracic aorta).

Some common aortic disorders include:

• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA)
• Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm (TAA)
• Aortoiliac Occlusive Disease
• Aortic Inflammation: Inflammatory diseases, such as Takayasu's arteritis, may block the flow of blood through the aorta and weaken the aortic wall.
