Charles Brannon Thomas, Jr., M.D.
Elected as the medical professions representative from Congressional District 4 in 1996, Dr. Thomas practices Orthopedic Surgery in Simpsonville. After graduating from the University of South Carolina in 1973 with a BS in Psychology, he went on to obtain his BS in Pharmacy from MUSC in 1978 and his MD from MUSC in 1984. Dr. Thomas is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Besides having been published and making several presentations of his work, Dr. Thomas holds a US Patent for “Apparatus and Method for Implanting Distal Screws in Intramedullary Rod.” He and his wife, Tricia, have three children.
