Paula E. Orr, M.D.
Dr. Orr began her term on the Board of Trustees on July 9, 2003, as the Governor’s Designee. She is a physician and owner of Charleston Women’s Wellness Center in Charleston, SC. She has been honored by placement on the Charleston Regional Business Journal’s “Forty Under Forty” list, recognizing individuals with the “heart and talent to make a positive difference in our community.” She was also listed in Outstanding Young Women in America, Who’s Who among Executives and Professionals and Who’s Who On American Colleges and Universities. She is a member of the Susan G. Komen Charleston Affiliate Board, Delta Sigma Theta Public Service Sorority and Jack & Jill of America. A graduate of Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte with a B.S. Degree in biology, Dr. Orr received her M.D. degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. She received her residency training and was chief resident in the Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.
